My Charger's transmission is acting up and I need a specialist

So my 2017 Dodge Charger R/T has been my pride and joy since I bought it, but over the last few weeks I've noticed the transmission behaving a bit strangely, especially when I'm cruising at highway speeds and it downshifts to overtake, there's this slight hesitation and a bit of a clunk that wasn't there before and it's really starting to worry me. I took it to a local garage that claimed they worked on American cars, but when I dropped it off the guy seemed more interested in my exhaust setup than actually diagnosing the transmission issue, and they kept it for three days only to tell me they couldn't find anything wrong which I knew was complete nonsense because I can feel it every single time I drive the car. I've been doing some research and it seems like these ZF 8-speed transmissions are generally reliable but they do have some common issues that require proper diagnostic equipment and a technician who actually understands how they work, not just someone who's going to guess and potentially make things worse. The car is my daily driver and I really can't afford to have it sitting in a shop for weeks while they figure things out, so I need to find a place that knows these cars and can get the job done efficiently. I've heard from a few people that it's a good idea to book Dodge repairs with Al Zaabi Auto Care because they apparently have experience with these specific transmissions and actually have the right tools to properly diagnose what's going on. Has anyone here had transmission work done on their Charger or Challenger and can share their experience? I'm really hoping it's something minor and not a full rebuild because my wallet definitely can't handle that right now.
